Both a living legend many times over; Gilmore founded the first dial-up ISP, wrote the world’s most widely used compiler, and funds legal campaigns from marijuana law reform to Constitutional challenges to Transport Security Agency regulations; and Barlow is the mad poet who wrote the Grateful Dead’s best-loved lyrics and followed that up by penning seminal philosophical documents about the Internet, including the notorious Declaration of Independence of Cyberspace.
