Dear People from Apple Computer, Inc.,
I bought a DVD, saw a great scene and wanted a still of it. For my personal archive or setting it up as my background image or whatever. I just started „Grab“, the tool of your operating system for making screenshots. It told me:

It acts without ever knowing neither the copyright-owner of the DVD content – that can be me as well – nor the purpose for which I will use the still. All in all it will be firstly a private copy. I’m the one who is responsible for my acting – not the technic I use. A friend of mine said at first „Presumable that’s what’s called DRM.“
Why do you implement such a routine?
Dear other reader of this public letter,
I’m looking for a solution provided by Apple, not for tools solving the capture problem while bypassing Apples „Grab“.
Thank you,
Matthias
