Gerade findet an der Harvard University eine spannende Konferenz zum Thema Internet & Politik mit dem Titel „Votes, Bits & Bytes: Online Politics – Is the Web just for Liberals“ statt. Die Konferenz wird organisiert vom Berkman Center for Internet & Society an der Harvard Law School.

Are information and communication technologies transforming politics? The purpose of this conference is to take a hard, skeptical, results-oriented look at the election in 2004 as well as the many issue-based campaigns, emerging business models, and new technologies that affect and comprise “politics” online and off. Key topics include:

– issue campaigns, including NGOs and labor organizing;
– business;
