Yochai Benkler im Video-Interview über die Entwicklung von Internet, Gesellschaft und freien Gütern

Am 11. Juni war Yochai Benkler zu Gast beim WZB Berlin Colloquium und sprach über seine neueste Arbeit „Practical Anarchism: Peer Mutualism, Market Power,
and the Fallible State“ (hier als pdf). Benkler ist Juraprofessor an der Harvard Law School und befasst sich unter anderem mit Fragen des Urheberrechts und freien Gütern. Sein Buch „The Wealth of the Network“ veröffentlichte er unter Creative Commens Lizenz und ist hier als pdf zu beziehen. Im Anschluss an das Kolloquium hatte Kaja Scheliga die Gelegenheit ein Interview mit Yochai Benkler zu führen, welches nun, in Form eines Videos, seinen Weg auf den Blog des Alexander von Humboldt Instituts für Internet und Gesellschaft gefunden hat.

Die Themen des Interview reichen dabei von Fragen zur aktuellen Entwicklung des Internets und den daraus resultierenden Folgen für die Gesellschaft bis zu der Frage inwieweit uns Open Data und Open Sciences eine neue gesellschaftliche Freiheit bescheren. Einige Zitate aus dem Interview:
