“Blog for a Cause!: The Global Voices Guide of Blog Advocacy” ist ein neues Handbuch für politische Blogger. Es beschreibt auf 21 Seiten (PDF), wie man Weblogs und soziale Medien nutzen kann, um damit auf politische Themen aufmerksam zu machen. Da die Hauptzielgruppe eher Menschen in repressiven Staaten sind, werden selbstverständlich auch Informationen geboten, wie man die eigene Identität sinnvoll schützen kann.

netzpolitik.org ist als Beispiel eines “Issue Blog” aufgeführt. Daneben gibt es noch zahlreiche andere Beispiel und weiterführende Informationen. Insgesamt ist es schön gemacht und bietet einen guten Überlick, wie man Blogs für die eigenen politischen Anliegen nutzen kann.

It is a quick and inexpensive way to create a presence on the Internet, to disseminate information about a cause, and to organize actions to lobby decision-makers.

The goal of Blog for a Cause!: is twofold: to inform and to inspire. The guide is designed to be accessible and practical, giving activists a number of easy-to-follow tips on how to use a blog to further their particular cause.

Auf meiner To-Liste steht schon länger, sowas mal auf deutsch und vielleicht ausführlicher zu machen. Wenn jemand Lust und Geld hat, sowas zu finanzieren, könnte man dies schneller realisieren.
